The Effect Of Course Review Horay Technique On Students' Speaking Skill
Speaking is one of the skills in English subject that should be learnt by the students. Speaking is very important because language is a tool of communication in life. By speaking students are able to communicate each other and convey all of their message to other people. The students talk less during speaking class. The teacher can use appropriate technique in teaching speaking. This research is intended to find out The Effect of Course Review Horay Techniques on Students Speaking Skill. It is conducted to the seventh grade students of SMP Negri 1 Jonggol. In this research, Quasi Experimental method with pre-test and post-test used. Lottery random sampling is used to take the sample. Therefore 35 students are taken from one classes as sample. The data are taken from pre-test and post-test. The design of t-test formula is applied to get the final result. Based on the data calculation, the mean of difference is 25.2. Then, the total of deviation of difference is 24.8. Moreover, t-test value is 18.80. Meanwhile, t-table value is 2.04 at significant level 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) is 34. In this case, the t-test value is higher than the t-table value (18.80>2.04). It can be assumed that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. It means that there is an effect of Course Review Horay Techniques on Students’ Speaking Skill.
