Students Perception Toward the Use of Cambridge Advance Learners Dictionary in Pronunciation Class

Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary online version is an learning media that can help students learn pronunciation, via an internet connection. Students have perceptions about the use of Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary media in pronunciation class. The purpose of this study was to find out how students perception the use of online version of the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary. The research was conducted in 2nd semester students of English Language Education Study Program. There were 20 students from class 2A who were used as respondents. Researcher used qualitative methods and descriptive analysis to determine perceptions in using the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary media. The data is obtained by distributing questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions with these students. After obtaining and processing the data, the students' perceptions were identified, Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary media can improve their self-ability, and they can find new things in pronunciation. Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary media can make students aware to sound the word and must be careful so that they do not commit mistakes such as mispronunciation.
