The Effect of the Guided Reading Method and Reading Aloud on Students' Reading Comprehension
This study aims to determine whether using the guided reading method has a
significant effect on students' reading comprehension. This research is conducting
at SMK Forward Nusantara in the tenth grade. The researcher used a quasi-
experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. A normality test
and a homogeneity test precede the use of the t-test formula in hypothesis testing.
The t-calculated result is 8.197, which is higher than the t-table value of 0.3120.
The system rejects Ho and accepts Ha. Meanwhile, for experiments using the
guided reading method, the n-gain score is 0.781, which is quite effective. As a
result, the guided reading method has an impact on students' reading abilities. You
can use the guided reading method as a teaching method on students' reading
comprehension.
