The Use OF Contextual Teaching And Learning On Students Ability To Write Recount Text
This study is aimed to find out whether Contextual Teaching and Learning can
affect students’ ability to write recount text. In conducting this research, the writer
used pre experimental design with pre-test post-test one group design. The
research was conducted to the 10th grade students of SMK Negeri 2 Kab.
Tangerang. Lottery class system was used to obtain the sample. To gain the data,
pre-test and post-test were used. She used some steps to analyze the data and the ttest formula design to get the final result. She found that the result of tcalculated is
12.9628 while ttable with the degree of freedom (df) is 36 in the level of
significance 0.05 is 2.021 and the level of significance 0.01 is 2.704. It shows that
the value of tcalculated is higher than ttable. Therefore, she found that the alternative
hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The result of the research shows that there is an
effect of Contextual Teaching and Learning on students’ ability to write recount
text.
