The Use Of Quizlet And Google Classroom On Students Ability To Write Recount Text
Writing is one of the important skills in English, in writing there are various aspects
that need to be considered, one of which is vocabulary. The purpose of this study is
to determine the effect of using Quizlet on students' writing skills, especially in
Recount Text and whether there is a difference between the control group and the
experimental group in terms of the results obtained. This study used a quasiexperimental design with a quantitative approach. The population and samples of
this study were VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Gunung Putri. Researchers
conducted this research in two classes. The experimental class used Quizlet media
on students' ability in writing recount text and the control class used Google
Classroom media on students' ability in writing recount text. The research findings
showed that the results of the three hypotheses were accepted. The students' final
scores in the post-test as well as the average scores obtained in both classes prove
that there is a difference in the effect of using Quizlet and Google Classroom on
students' ability to write recount text. Finally, the use of Quizlet is more effective
on students' ability to write recount text.
