ASSESSMENT OF ENGLISH SUBJECT IN MERDEKA BELAJAR CURRICULUM
There are various assessments implemented at school. The assessment in each
school is certainly different because it adjusts to the needs and characteristics of
students in certain subjects, especially English. The teacher carries out various
assessments in class. This is done to achieve the learning objectives that students
will succeed in. Therefore, this research focuses on the most used assessment type
of English subject in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. This research aims to
describe the assessment that is mostly used in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. The
researcher used the qualitative method and descriptive analysis to find the most
used assessment in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. The data were gained by
analyzing the assessment that the teachers used, and interviewing teachers. After
gaining and processing the data, the result was discovered; the most assessment
used by the teachers in the Merdeka Belajar curriculum is formative assessments
because it reflects the activities of daily learning activities.
