Students' Perspective Towards Teacher's Feedback In Writing Activites
The culture of writing among students in Indonesia is still lacking or 46,83%
students have lack reading. Because the students think that the writing process
take a long time. Therefore, the role of the teacher is very important of the writing
process to achieve the goal by providing feedback on students in their writing.
The feedback can identify errors in writing. This study aims to investigate the
students’ perspective of the teacher’s feedback on writing of the 9th grade of SMP
Negeri 2 Sukaraja. The reason researcher chooses 9th grade students is that
because students get feedback from the teacher in writing activities. This research
applied a descriptive qualitative research method. The researcher uses purposive
sampling as the sampling technique to get the research subject for the research.
The researcher uses a questionnaire and interview to collect the data. There were
40 students as research respondents taken from 9th grade. Based on the data, it
comes into conclusion that in cognitive aspect that teacher’s feedback can
improve their critical thinking and organize ideas in writing. In addition, based on
the result of the affective aspect that the students feel motivated and confident
with the feedback given by the teacher.
