Penerapan Model Picture and Picture Dalam Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskriptif pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negri 1 Ciomas

The prupose of this study was to obtain a descriptive of writing descriptive text writing skils and find out the obstaclse faced by students of class VII SMP Negri 1 Ciomas, Bogor Regency, when applying the picture learning model. The research was conducted through teaching activitise in class VII of SMP Negri 1 Ciomas, Bogor Regency. The class that became the respondents of the study was class VII-7 as an experimental class with 31 respondents. In the experimental class a picture and picture learning model is applied, The control class applise the exampel non exampel model. Data collection techinques used in the study were through tests to write descriptuve texts and questionnaires. The meeting was held twice in both the experimental class and the control class and the control class. After conducting reasearch throug data collection in the from of student test results and questionnaires, the results are obtained as a proof of the research hypothesis, Based on the research process using the pre- test and post-text instruments, the experimental class pre-test and data obtained an avarage grade of 31,29. Then the post-test, the class avarage increased to 78.70. Then other evidence, based on the calculation of the mean comparasion using the t-test formula, the value of tcount= 3.06 is greater than tTabel. The results of the analysis show that the application of the picture and picture learning model can improve descriptive writing skills of grade VII students of SMP Negri 1 Ciomas, Bogor Regency. Based on data taken from a questionnaire given to 31 seventh grade students of SMP Negri 1 Ciomas, Bogor Regency, almost half had problems in writing descriptive text skillis.
