This Study aims to investigate students, perceptions of the use of e-books in reading classes, focusing on affective aspects, as well as the strengths and weakness of e-books. The central research question is: "How do students perceive the use of e-books in reading class?''This research employed a qualitative descriptive case study design. Data were collected through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews and analysed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that students perceive e-books as accessible, flexsible, and a partical alternative to printed books. However, in terms of affective engagement, most students read not out of personal interest, but due to extrinsic motivation primaly to complete assignments. Furthermore, although students acknowledged the benefitsof e-books, the majority still preferred printed books, considering them more corfortable and easier to understand during prolonged reading sessions. These findingssuggest taht reading instruction should not only emphasize accesbility and technological intergration but also promote students' intrinsic motivation to read.
