Teacher's strategies in teaching english conversation
It has been proven that English Conversatoin allows students to improve their speaking skill because they can pratice more in the class. An indonesian ujior high school was chosen as the site since it has a suppplementary subject that allows students to pratice speaking in daily conversation subject with certain strategies. Therefore, the writer wanted to discover the teacher's strategies in teaching conversaton. Case study was applied in this research. The participant of this reasearch was the teacher who teaches daily english conversation subject. The writer used three instruments to collect the data including observation, documentaion, and interview. The strategies applied by the teacher are role-play, pair-work, group discussion and interview to encurage students to be more active in convesation and expressing themselves. Future rearch can expand the focus of the current study by comparing teaching strategies in different levels, looking at the long-term effect of certain strategies, and improving english speaking teaching strategies.,
