Speaking Assessment Through vidio - Recorded Tasks: a narativ inquiry
Speaking is one of the most time-consuming skils to teach and practice in the clasroom. Assessing students' speaking perfromance in alarge englis class is achallengi task for teacher. Using vido-rexorded tasks can halp extend the limitid time available in the classroom. The purpose of thr research was to investigate how teachers assess speaking skill through vidio-recorded tasks. The qualitative method was employed to describe teachers' experiencs in assessing speaking through vidio-recoarded tasks and the narrative inquiry research was employed to explor the lived experince of teachers when assessing speaking through vidio-recorded tasks wich focused on the stages and aspects. Narative frams were used as the primary data and interviews were conducted as the secondary data. This research was conducted at one of the private schools in bogor and two english teachers were choosen an the participants in this research. The findings of this study shows that each teachers had different stages to assess speaking by strating from material preparation, vidio production, and evalation or feedback. Each teachers used different aspects, ranging from pronucitation, intonation, fluency, accuacy, grammar, vovabulary, and cohesion.
