The use of annotation strategy and story pyramid strategy on students' reading comprehension
This study investigated the effectiveness of the annatation strategy and the story pyramid strategy in enhancing tenth-grade students' reading comprehesion of narrative texts. Employing a quasi-eksperimental design, the research involved two groups of students from SMA Harapan Bangsa. The experimental group received instruction using the annotation strategy, while the control group was taught with the story pyramid strategy. Data were collected via pre-tests and post-tests. The resukt indicated that students in the annotation strategy group achived significantly higher scores onn the post-test compared to those in the story pyramid strategy group. This suggest that the annotation strategy is more effective for improving studenets reading comprehension of narativve texts.
